Welcome to CircuOsity's Special Lenten Series. Paths is a daily Lenten practice for studying God's word, offering prayer, and learning a little bit more about the Lenten calendar. This introduction includes a prayer from Boethius. I also mention some info. about awesome Lenten programs on the Episcopal Church's 'Lenten Resource page. You can join in at Lent Madness too. Mostly though, I introduce what Howell Sasser (my spouse) and I are offering together this Lent. His creative writing in "Paths" offers space and time for my reflections and our weekly conversations. We're building it as we go along. We invite you to share some of your time each day with us this Lent. Share the word. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Dear People of God: The first Christians observed with great devotion the days of our Lord's passion and resurrection, and it became the custom of the Church to prepare for them by a
season of penitence and fasting. ... Thereby, the whole congregation
(and our listeners) was (were) put in mind of the message of pardon and absolution set
forth in the Gospel of our Savior, and of the need which all Christians continually have to renew their repentance and faith.
We invite you, therefore, in the name of the Church, to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and
meditating on God's holy Word. (especially on this podcast)
Blessings along The Way, Jim and Howie
